Who should attend the Section of International Law 2011 Fall Meeting?
As the premier gathering of international experts worldwide, the International Law Fall Meeting has sessions that would appeal to a broad range of audiences including:

  • Practicing Attorneys
  • Professors
  • Students

  • Business executives focused on International Law
  • Retired Lawyers
  • Small Practice (less than 4 attorneys) Attorneys

What does my registration fee include?
Admission includes all CLE programs and committee meetings (dinners excluded), 1 ticket to Tuesday & Wednesday’s Receptions (guest tickets available for purchase), and all Networking Breaks.

Is there a group discount available?
Group discounts are available for multiple registrations from the same law firms and/or corporate legal departments submitted prior to September 23.  You will receive 50% off the highest registration fee for each additional registrant after the fourth full paying registrant, as long as all register at the same time.

Can I register for the meeting onsite?
Yes, you may register onsite at the meeting. We strongly encourage you to register in advance via the Section of International Law Fall Meeting website. By registering early, you will have a speedier check-in when you arrive at the meeting.

Will I receive a refund if I have to cancel my registration?
Refunds are available based on when you cancel.  If you cancel on or before September 23, 2011, you will be refunded your registration fee, less a $100 administrative fee to cover the cost of processing. No refunds will be available for cancellations made after September 23, 2011
or for no-shows. Formal written requests for refunds may be submitted via email to Duane Propst at Duane.Propst@americanbar.org.

Will I receive a confirmation of my registration?
For registrations made on-line, confirmation of registration will be sent via email immediately.  

For registrations made via fax or mail, please allow two weeks for processing; confirmation of registration will be sent via email immediately upon processing. 

For registrations made with check payment via mail, please allow two weeks for processing; confirmation of registration will be sent via email immediately upon processing.

If you do not receive confirmation after 2 weeks, please do not hesitate to email Jessica Smith at Jessica.Smith@americanbar.org.

Will I receive a receipt for my registration?
Yes.  You will receive a registration confirmation via email, which includes your receipt.

I have registered for the meeting but would like to make changes to my name on my badge. How do I do this?
If you would like to change the information on your badge, you may do so onsite at the meeting registration desk.

Which hotel has a room block for this meeting?  What are the rates?

I am a student and would like to share a hotel room with another student to reduce costs.  Any suggestions on how to arrange this?
The Section of International Law does not have the ability to coordinate housing for students. We suggest you network at your school and through other schools to find other students with whom to share housing.

What airport is most convenient to fly into?  How far is the airport from the hotel?
Dublin International Airport (DUB)

M1 South to City Centre. Left at Dorset St. Left down Parnell St. Right down Marlborough St. Across the River Liffey. Left at Trinity College. Right at Kildare Street, hotel at top of street on left.

What’s the best way to get from the airport to the hotel?
Aircoach fee: 8 EUR (one way) on request

Bus service fee: 7.00 EUR  (one way)

Estimated taxi fare: 40.00 EUR  (one way)

What are the driving directions to the hotel?
Driving directions may be found on the Shelbourne’s website.

Is parking available at the hotel?
Valet parking, fee: 25 EUR daily
Off-site parking, fee: 2.5 EUR hourly, 30 EUR daily

What is the dress code for the Fall Meeting?
For the 2011 Fall Meeting, business casual and business attire are both appropriate. 

Can I receive CLE credit for attending the International Law Fall Meeting?
The Section of International Law will provide both General and Ethics CLE Credit at the 2011 Fall Meeting.

CLE forms will be in the back of each CLE program at the Fall Meeting. For questions while at the meeting, please visit the CLE counter next to the Registration counter.
