2011 MIDWINTER MEETING
Occupational Safety & Health Law Committee Midwinter Meeting

March 15-18, 2011
Ritz-Carlton New Orleans
New Orleans, LA

Dear OSH Law Committee Member:

The Midwinter Meeting of the ABA Occupational Safety and Health Law Committee will be held at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in New Orleans, Louisiana from March 15th through March 18, 2011.

We are looking forward to a very successful program. Based on the successful meeting last year in Coronado, we have developed an expanded agenda, offering sessions on a wide variety of topics. We intend the program to appeal to practitioners, state and federal officials, scholars, and other policymakers.

The program will begin with our welcome reception at the resort on Tuesday, March 15th, from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. The general sessions will be conducted on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

We will host a First-Time Attendee Breakfast on Wednesday, March 16th at 7:00 am. We invite all registered guests to attend the Guest Breakfast on Wednesday from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. We have also arranged for special receptions on Wednesday and Thursday evenings.

Information on optional activities that are available at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel and its environs will be available at the meeting and will be posted in advance to the meeting’s website.

Hotel Accommodations

We have negotiated a special group rate at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel of $199 plus taxes for single or double occupancy rooms. To reserve your room, call the hotel directly at 504-524-1331. To receive the group rate, reference the “ABA Occupational Safety and Health Law Committee Midwinter Meeting.” The group rate will be honored until February 15, 2011 or until the room block is exhausted. You must cancel your reservation 72 hours prior to your scheduled arrival date to avoid a one-night cancellation charge. Rooms will be available for check-in no later than 3:00 pm, with a checkout time of 12:00 pm.

Meeting Registration

The registration fee for the 2011 Midwinter Meeting is $325 for Section of Labor & Employment Law members, $375 for non-members, $225 for government agency attendees, and $175 for guests. The fees cover your meeting materials and attendance at all meetings and social functions.
