Description

Dear Colleague:

We are delighted to invite you to attend the 2011 Consumer Protection Conference. This one day conference will focus on the future of consumer protection law, and is a “must attend” event for enforcers and practitioners. Our speakers include representatives from the FTC, State Attorneys General Offices, scholars, economists, industry, consumer advocates, and other professionals in consumer protection and privacy.

The conference will focus on:

  • consumer protection priorities;
  • the next decade of privacy law enforcement;
  • changes to the advertising substantiation doctrine;
  • new rules for consumer financial services marketing practices;
  • third party liability for consumer protection violations;
  • ethics rules regarding social media use in investigations and litigation; and
  • new strategies in filing advertising challenges against competitors.

This setting also provides attendees the opportunity to network with these experts in a hospitable environment, and a forum for colleagues in the consumer protection bar to meet and exchange ideas. We hope that you will find the right individuals in your organization to attend this special program. This conference is only held every other year, so don’t miss the chance to be a part of it.

We hope you will join us in DC.
