1. Can I still register for the meeting?
On-site registration is available. Please bring a completed copy of registration form and a check for the full registration fee. Please contact Quander Abercrombie with any questions.
2. How do I book hotel & travel?
The 2010 BLI will be held at the Chicago Marriott Downtown located on the Magnificent Mile. You can arrange your accommodation at the following address: http://cwp.marriott.com/chidt/ababli/ If you book your room after February 23rd, you are not guaranteed the conference room rate. Those wishing to book their travel through the ABA will find that information at the "Hotel & Travel Information" link on the right side of this page.
3. What's the best way to travel to and from the airport?
Airport transfers from both Midway and OHare are available from Airport Express.($27 from O'Hare; $22 from Midway) A taxi cab costs approximately $32 from Midway and $42 from O’Hare, including tip and depending on traffic. The El (also known as Chicago Transit Authority) takes approximately 45-50 minutes from either airport and costs $2.25 (directions, maps and assistance are available at the airport El stops).
4. Do you have any recommendations for dining out or other Chicago-related activities?
If you have visited Chicago before, you know that there is a wealth of cultural sights to explore and restaurants to sample. If you are a newcomer, you'll be delighted by all that our city has to offer, from skating in Millennium Park to exploring the old masters at the Art Institute of Chicago. 6. What is the dress code for the meeting?
Dress code for the BLI is business casual. A suit or other appropriate business attire is recommended for Thursday's networking reception.
