CourtListener www.courtlistener.com
This site was created by Michael Lissner as part of a master’s thesis at the University of California, Berkeley School of Information. The goal of the site is to create a free and competitive real time alert tool for the U.S. judicial system. At present, the site has daily information regarding all precedential opinions issued by the 13 federal circuit courts and the Supreme Court of the United States. Each day, it also has the non-precedential opinions from all of the Circuit courts except the D.C. Circuit. This means that by 5:10pm PST, the database will be updated with the opinions of the day, with custom alerts going out shortly thereafter. A great way to get head’s up when an interesting case has been decided.

Overheard in Court http://overheardincourt.com/
Readers send in their real-life accounts of things that transpire in court. Though primarily for humor, there are a lot of practical lessons that can be drawn from the comedy. MedjetAssist www.medjetassist.com/
One of the smartest moves you’ll ever make. If you are hospitalized anywhere more than 150 miles from home, MedjetAssist will get you transferred to the hospital of your choice and bring you there by commercial flight or private charter, with medical personnel in attendance as needed, who will consult with your physician at home. There are no additional charges beyond the annual membership fee, $250 per individual or $385 per family. We were in a cruise ship clinic when a woman had a massive heart attack and they had to open her chest. Two days later, she was transferred to a hospital on Curacao. Probably not where she would have chosen to be. We purchased MedjetAssist as soon as we got home and have never looked back (or thankfully, needed its services). It also comes with a cool monthly e-mail newsletter where you can see how many people have been transported from distances small and great back to their home.
