Speaker Resources

Thank you for agreeing to participate at the American Bar Association Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources’ 19th Section Fall Meeting to be held October 12-15, 2011, at the JW Marriott, in Indianapolis, IN. We are very proud of the quality of our program—and of course our speakers are the main reason this conference will be so successful.

Please review the following information containing speaker deadlines pertaining to the conference. Carefully review and return the requested information below as soon as possible. We appreciate your prompt response. The forms can be emailed, faxed, or mailed back to Yumeka Brown, Program and Membership Coordinator using the contact information below. If you have any questions about these materials, due dates or for additional information, please see our Speaker FAQs.

    Paper and Presentation Guidelines:
The paper requirement is very important to ensure CLE credits are approved for each panel. Therefore each panelist must submit a publication-quality paper. We cannot obtain CLE credit for a copy of your PowerPoint presentation. Please follow the guidelines for Papers, Abstracts and PowerPoint’s, which can be found below.

The Section recognizes authors of the “Best Papers” prepared for each major CLE program. Authors must submit papers on time and papers are evaluated by the program planning committee on originality, quality, analysis, usefulness, relevance, and format. Each author whose paper is selected is presented with a certificate of recognition at the CLE program and receives a complimentary Section publication as a token of appreciation for his/her outstanding submission. View past “Best Paper” award recipients.

Note: The ABA does not provide laptop computers for use during the conference.

Note: Only papers in by the deadline are eligible to be reviewed for the best paper award.

Other paperwork: Deadline: Monday, July 11, 2011
